Job Title: Production Technician / Technical Support Specialist

Skilled Production Technician / Technical Support Specialist required to work in a clean, bright, quiet, and respectful work environment. This role combines hands-on product assembly with customer-facing technical support responsibilities. You will solder and assemble palm-sized medical devices from start to finish at an allocated workstation with minimal supervision, while also supporting customers and internal teams by answering technical questions, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to knowledge base documentation.

Production Technician / Technical Support Responsibilities

Assemble products and parts. We are a medical device company and this job is primarily assembling product. This includes soldering load cells and boards and then building the product.

Follow production guidelines and specifications. You will be responsible for building a product from beginning to end by following recorded trainings and written assembly procedures.

Identify faults and troubleshoot wherever possible during assembly and testing.

Communicate progress and meet production targets.

Follow product test procedures, equipment operation requirements, cleanliness standards, and sound safety practices as documented in the company’s quality system manual.

Recommend changes in test procedures and test specifications to improve performance and functional testing of production or prototype components.

Provide technical support to customers and internal staff by answering incoming telephone calls, responding to support emails, and assisting customers via online chat.

Troubleshoot hardware, software, and device connectivity issues with customers using JTECH Medical products.

Document common questions, solutions, and troubleshooting steps by writing and maintaining knowledge base articles and support documentation.

Escalate complex technical issues when necessary and help identify opportunities to improve product reliability and customer experience.

Production Technician / Technical Support Requirements

Proficient in soldering techniques — this is essential. We do small-part soldering so experience is required. Flat and through-hole soldering experience is necessary.

Experience assembling palm-sized devices to high quality standards.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, both for production assembly and customer technical support.

Comfortable communicating clearly with customers via phone, email, and chat.

Ability to document technical procedures and write clear knowledge base articles.

A self-starter who is adept at working independently.

A positive attitude and strong attention to detail.

High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional certification in electronics, IT support, or a related field would be beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 – $23.00 per hour, depending on experience
