Northstar Software

The following minimum computer system requirements must be met for JTECH Medical Northstar Software to function correctly. Although the software can run on systems that do not meet all the requirements, JTECH does not guarantee its performance.

Tracker Version 5 Software

The following computer system requirements must be met for JTECH’s Tracker Version 5 Software to function correctly. Although the software can run on systems that do not meet all the requirements, JTECH does not guarantee its performance.

Echo/Northstar Echo Devices

The following computer system requirements must be met for JTECH’s Echo/Northstar Echo devices to function correctly.

Tracker Freedom Devices

The following computer system requirements must be met for JTECH’s Tracker Freedom devices to function correctly.

Ports

  • USB 2.0* (for Tracker Freedom receiver)

*Due to known interactions between Intel-based computers and high-speed USB 3.0 ports in Windows 8/8.1/10, some USB 1.1/2.0 compliant products have been observed to experience inconsistent functionality. To avoid inconvenience and promote the best possible experience, JTECH strongly recommends use of AMD-based computers rather than Intel for use with Tracker Freedom devices.

MacOS X Compatibility

The following computer system requirements must be met for JTECH’s Tracker Freedom devices to function correctly.

JTECH Medical software has been tested on MacOS X with the following requirements:

  • Windows emulator such as VirtualBoxVMWare Fusion, or Parallels
  • A license for a supported Windows operating system
  • A license for Microsoft Word or Microsoft Office

Additional Information

The following computer system requirements must be met for JTECH’s Tracker Freedom devices to function correctly.

The following information applies to all JTECH products:

  • In order for JTECH representatives to provide proper, timely service, it is recommended to have a telephone located within reach of the computer running the system.
  • Software will not operate without activation.
  • A broadband internet connection is highly recommended for software updates and remote support.
